About Me
Hello! #
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m a senior data engineer. My career has primarily involved being handed flaming messes and handing back something much less painful to hold onto.
I contribute to businesses by simplifying systems. I pride myself on net-negative LOC contributions to codebases. My favorite color on GitHub is red.
This philosophy applies to code just as much as cloud compute, stale services, and meeting invites. The speed of building & scaling organizations quickly often comes at the cost of ugly messes and inefficiencies. I love to clean those up.
Removal is preferred, but I equally love building. Whether it’s going zero-to-one on a new system, or extending an existing pipeline, I’ve proven myself decently good at getting up-to-speed on complex systems and making valuable contributions that last, quickly.
You would be amazed at how little survives a few rounds of “why?”
Currently senior-data-engineering at ApartmentIQ, working primarily on Daylight, AIQ’s Revenue Management solution. It’s the best in the industry and I’m not just being a yuppie.
Does any of that resonate with you? #
I’m exploring opportunities in independent analytics, data pipeline, and cloud consulting. I love to help smaller teams stand up the data systems they need to operate with confidence without building an entire data vertical.
If that’s something you’re doing, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch!
That said, connecting with people for whatever reason is always a joy. Feel free to reach out to me just to say hi, talk shop, whatever!
